Alpine (Downhill) Skiing

Giants Ridge will have a new BEGINNER'S TERRAIN PARK. Located on the mid-section of the Placid Run, there will be small jumps, rails and boxes for skiers and boarders.
Vertical Drop: 500 feet
Lifts: Two-triple chairlifts, three double chairlifts, and a J-bar give Giants Ridge the capacity of 7800 skiers per hour. The lift lengths run between 1,800 and 2,500 feet.
Snowmaking: Giants Ridge supplements natural snowfall, a state-of-the-art snowmaking systems.
Nordic (Cross-Country) Skiing
Giants Ridge is located in the heart of Minnesota's cross-country skiing. Glorious trees towering above the rolling landscape. All you will hear above the swish of your skis is the wildlife.
Enjoy sixty kilometers of scenic well-groomed trails that weave through Superior National Forest at Giants Ridge. Developed for intensive training by the US Ski Team. The trail has long, gradual grades, spectacular vistas, roller coaster rides and a variety of challenges for beginners through accomplished skiers.
