As Giants Ridge gears up for summer, bike enthusiasts will enjoy all the trail options available from the Giants Ridge Recreation Area. As you leave the Lodge at Giants Ridge there’s a trail for every type of rider. There are several fat-tire trails located directly behind the Lodge. The challenging Bronze trail climbs the ski area and offers 360-degree forest and lake views from the top; while the Silver trail is for those who don’t want the immediate vertical climb. Riders who want to experience the challenge of gravel, mud and dirt should take the Laurentian Snowmobile Trail from the Lodge and explore miles and miles of north country riding through the Superior National Forest. Finally, the amazing Mesabi Trail gives riders the opportunity to ride from the Lodge to neighboring towns through beautiful wooded and open landscapes on a paved surface. The riding season has kicked off! Whether you’re a mountain biker, fat tire rider or a road bike warrior, there’s something for everyone when it comes to biking up at the Ridge.
